Untitled grey cloth. Fine new copy in dust-wrapper. Written in 1973, this manuscript has at last been published. Good stories of shooting days. "Jack Rawlins .has also been able to capture the actual atmosphere of shooting and more especially shooting with a good dog. The exploits related were experienced over the period between 1957 and 1973 and in different places although mainly in the Somerset - Wiltshire borders and the highlands of Scotland. .the last chapter tells of his experiences whilst hunting in the U.S.A. in 1940 which strictly speaking might have been better if included in Bridle and Gun, his other book published in 1973. The stories tell of his love of shooting but more particularly of his love of working his labradors." .
