His journey takes him from the Iron Triangle of Willet Point in Queens to Vietnam, on to the Lakota Pine Ridge Reservation, and to the high desert of Arizona. His life is touched by many people and the manner in which he lives impacts the lives and hearts of others. This is a book about change. It iis in no way meant to be a chronology of the Vietnam War or the experiences of the people that served there. It is a story of one young man and what he went through to develop an understanding of himself and how he finds his way back past the Shadow Guards that guarded his pain.
