A booklet describing selections from the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum. The items, including sculpture, paintings, textiles and minor arts, originally were owned by the East India Company. Irwin's 2-page essay refers to specific plates in the catalogue. Irwin was Assistant Keeper of the Indian Section at the V&A from 1945 to 1959 and then Keeper from 1959 to 1978.
