The thirteenth book printed for the First Edition Club. Of 1,000 copies, this No. 9, presented by Tomkinson to Ambrose Heal "As a token of gratitude for his continuous help to me whil…e compiling this book", and signed by him. Printed by the Curwen Press. Loosely inserted in this copy are a TLS from Tomkinson to Heal on Tompkinson Limited Carpet Manufactiurers letterhead with autograph annotations in Heal's hand; An ANS from Tomkinson to Heal letter-headed Broomfield Lodge, Kidderminster; and four single sheet illustrations, one of which is labeled "Souvenirs of First Private Press of the first impressions for the illustrations for Press Book" by A.J.A. Symons in his distinctive and attractive hand. From the collection of David Chambers, with his bookplate. Light soiling, end-papers spotted else a very good copy.
