Of 1,000 copies, this No. 9, presented by Tomkinson to Ambrose Heal "As a token of gratitude for his continuous help to me while compiling this book", and signed by him. Printed by the Curwen Press. Loosely inserted in this copy are a TLS from Tomkinson to Heal on Tompkinson Limited Carpet Manufactiurers letterhead with autograph annotations in Heal's hand; An ANS from Tomkinson to Heal letter-headed Broomfield Lodge, Kidderminster; and four single sheet illustrations, one of which is labeled "Souvenirs of First Private Press of the first impressions for the illustrations for Press Book" by A.J.A.
