Paperback. Catalogue of the Exhibition. Very slim oblong octavo [18 cm] Stapled pictorial wraps. Near fine condition. "There is a kind of still life painting that incorporates, for its peculiar influence on the viewer, characteristics more commonly associated with landscape. William Bailey's still lifes are of this sort. Their domesticity is an illusion. The eggs, bowls and cups are disposed on a plane that usually has no visible horizontal terminus, and the projection of an enclosing space is rarely, if ever, suggested." - Mark Strand.
