Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Limited Edition. Quarto, 366pp., illustrated. A fine, crisp copy in the publisher's patterned buckram, but for a tiny area of foxing near the crown on the top edge. Else lovely, in the original tissue dust jacket, gently toned on the spine with a few tiny chips, and publisher's slipcase, fine. This is number 1308 of 1500 limited copies SIGNED by Groth on the limitation page.

Slipcase has split along one vertical edge and one bottom edge, scraping along bottom, some light scattered surface wear. Includes 40 characteristic stories by one of the best know and well-liked authors of this genre during the 20th century. Large volume, nice gift copy. Signed by Illustrator(s).

Five raised bands and gilt title on spine. Gilt decoration on binding lightly rubbed in some places. Top corner of front cover a bit bumped. Brown moire endpapers sunned to edges. Contents very nice.
