First edition, hardcover, has a light lean to the binding, bumps to the spine ends and cover corners, and mild shelf wear to the cover edges. Otherwise, this is a solid, Very Good copy in a like dust jacket, which has bumps with light creasing and a touch of peeling to the spine ends, slight wear to the cover edges and corners, and some rubbing to the covers. The jacket is wrapped in Mylar.

Presumed first edition thus, leather bound Collector's Edition, previously owned by Ed Bryant and is inscribed to him with place/date by Williamson on title page. A folded invitation or program to The Jack Williamson Science Fiction Library dedication is laid in. The book has a slight skew to the binding, a hint of shelfwear to spine ends and board corners, a small touch of rubbing to gilt on edges of text block, a very small chip to upper corner of front pastedown, and the Easton Press "Signed First Editions of Science Fiction" book plate has been stuck to the first free endpage with the name of one of Bryant's relatives written on the line, while the blank "Masterpieces of Science Fiction" book plate is laid in at back with Collector's Notes. Otherwise a solid, tight, VG+ copy.
