Full colour covers 80 pages with several pages of adverts. Errata slip at rear. All edges gilt. Frontispiece of Field Marshal Lord Roberts and seven other full page tissue guarded photgravures (Some of the guards have been replaced. Lots of illustrations. Each page has attractive pictorial borders. The second photgravure is of Spencer Wilkinson and his staff of ten artists, three of whom have signed on an attribution page opposite. Signed also by Bruce S Ingram, the editor. This is number 54 in an unspecified production run. The last engagement described was on December 1st, 1900, by which time it was only the most dedicated of the 'bittereinders' who were continuing the fight - the Treaty of Vereeniging, which ended the War formally, was not signed until May 1902.
