Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting.

Black boards with silver and lilac stamped lettering to spine (boards and spine covered in a black finished paper rather than cloth but apparently still correct for the trade edition). Several small dark spots of staining to fore-edge; several early leaves have shallow wear to their fore-edge margins; past owner's name on slender silver label affixed at top of front free endpaper with associated light toned impression affecting top of half-title too. Interior pages are clean. Binding is firm. A very good copy in a very good dust jacket.
