Head and tail slightly worn, 2 tiny splits to outer cloth at tail of spine, corners rubbed and slightly 'rounded', paper hinges inside covers cracked and neatly glued, small piece missing from blank top corner of front endpaper, no inscriptions, 3 small yellow paint spots on blank rear endpaper, 1 flower page torn across (geranium) and invisibly repaired wih no loss (see image 5), slight fingermarking and occasional very pale foxing to margins. The cover has light wear to extremities, slightly dusty; inside there is light foxing, else a very good copy. Charles Robinson (1870 1937) was a prolific British book illustrator. The first full book he illustrated was Robert Louis Stevenson's A Child's Garden of Verses (1895), He illustrated many fairy tales and children's books throughout his career."
