A lovely copy of this First Edition (October, 1937) hardback, signed to the frontispiece photo portrait: "Romany" (this is a very strong assumption of a signature by hand (ie. not printed) the evidence being variations in the inking of the name as might happen with a fountain pen and looking on the reverse there is a slight but definite impression left by pen pressure). No wrapper. Green cloth with black titles and Spaniel motif. 184pp. Illustrated in black & white throughout with the author's drawings (including 'Raq'). 12 photo Plates. Plain end-papers and white, soft paper with no foxing throughout. Remarkable condition for 87 years old. 20% price reduction now applied.
