Reprint. Handsome craft binding of black morocco, with titles in gilt a Great Britain motif in green leather to the upper board, three raised bands and titles in gilt to the spine. Housed in a heavy card slipcase. Illustrated throughout with colour photographs by Simon McBride. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the leather bright and fresh. There is occasionally an odd spot internally, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the near fine, structurally sound slipcase, that has a few light marks at the edges. Daniel Defoe's classic piece of travel writing that documents various 'tours' of Great Britain is here presented as an abridged text with modernised spelling in order to offer an accessible flavour of Defoe's work to modern audiences. Supported by beautiful photographs by Simon McBride showing locations mentioned by Defoe. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request.
