Condition: Very good +. Dust Jacket Condition: very good-. Reprint. Octavo, 329pp., illustrated. A very good or slightly better copy in the publisher's red cloth. Spine gilt dulled, as often, gentle foxing to edges; clean and unmarked internally. In the rare dust jacket, with smallish chips to corners and spine ends, a few flattened creases, and internal clear tape repairs; still complete and only gently darkened on the spine; about very good. Originally published in 1916, this volume recounts Reed's firsthand accounts of travel along the Eastern Front of the First World War with artist/illustrator and fellow radical Boardman Robinson. The book was reprinted as part of a series entitled "The War on All Fronts," which is the example offered here. Reed was immortalized by Warren Beatty, who portrayed him in the 1982 film "Reds." We found no copies of this edition (or the first) in dust jacket as of this listing.
