Pale green cloth boards with decorative black and lavender stamps and gilt title front and spine. Frontispiece of Fitzgerald. Decorative frame around each page's text. Gilt top page edges. Fraying of ends of spine corners and board's lower corners. Front endpaper has a fixed newspaper square regarding the pronunciation of the title which has acid-burned a square onto the adjacent flyleaf.

Extremities remain quite clean with no sign of rubbing or shelfwear, two very faint library stamps to the ffep and the rear pastedown (no other library marks). Contents remain bright, clean and unmarked with tight, sound binding; very good+.
