Vor der grundlegenden Erneuerung hat Horst Hamann das Gelände fotografisch erkundet und den Zustand festgehalten, wie ihn die US-Streitkräfte zurückgelassen haben. Seine Bilder zeigen einen Stadtteil zwischen Geschichte, Verwilderung und Neuanfang.
