Originally published between 1823 and 1841, the stories carry Natty Bumpo, a.k.a." Pathfinder," "Deerslayer" or "Hawkeye," from his youth on the New York frontier in King George's War until his death on the Western prairies during President Thomas Jefferson's administration.
