Hardcover. Condition: Good. Copy numbered 445/500. Ex-library book with a card catalogue envelope fixed to the front endpage. This book has rubbing and scuffing that has caused color loss and smudging to the cover images, shelfwear to the edges and corners of the covers including gently bumped corners and minor fraying, a shifted spine, a section cleanly cut from the top edge of the title page approx 5/8 by 5 1/4 inches, an overall gentle aging to the pages, a light waving to the edges of most pages likely from improper storage or a small amount of water damage, a small amount of separation of the binding from the spine plate at the bottom of the binding, and black marker dots on the top and bottom edges of the textblock next to the spine, otherwise this book is in good condition with unmarked pages, a tight binding, and bold, attractive illustrations throughout.

Hardcover. Condition: Very good. Octavo. 64pp. Braby's twelve engravings portray the tale of Gilgamesh and Enkidu through expressive and fluid linework and straightforward black-and-white definition, fitting for the now-foundational myth of the Western canon. Bound in half brown morocco with yellow cloth over boards and gilt-stamped motif of the titular hero to upper cover. Some rubs to corners, faint toning to upper margins of covers, spine somewhat darkened, else a very good or better copy. T.e.g. One of 60 copies specially bound. Signed by Lucas and Braby.
