Paperback oblong small quarto, very good condition, card covers, full-page black & white & colour drawings, glossy paper, printed on 100% recycled paper, minor edgewear. 36 pp. Childrenās picture story with an environmental theme about bushfires by Jamies Shaw, and illustrated by Fusae Ikeda. Iso was a Southern Brown Bandicoot and she was three years old. Iso had lived her entire life amongst the spiny thickets and green shrubs of the heath land. One warm spring day Iso awoke early from her daytime sleep to a strange smoky smell in the air (a bushfire). Her instincts told her the smell would bring trouble, but she didn't quite know why. The beautiful graphic illustrations make this wonderful children's story about Australian bushland and our unique animals very lifelike.
