Die Banque Hyp…othécaire du Canton de Genève war bereit, ihre Schließfächer für dieses künstlerische Werk zur Verfügung zu stellen. Die Arbeiten der Künstlerinnen und Künstler waren in Koffern verstaut. Die Schlüssel der Safes befanden sich im Ausstellungsraum RUINE, die von den Künstlern Tamasch (André l Huillier und Tamas St. Auby) betrieben wurde. Wer die Arbeiten sehen wollte, musste die Schlüssel in der RUINE abholen. Die Publikation dokumentiert diesen ironischen Kommentar des heutigen Kunstmarktes. -. Über seine Lehr- und Wanderjahre weiss man wenig, und auch der… Künstler gibt dazu ungern Auskunft. 1990 hatte er seine erste wichtige, von Bernhard Mendes Bürgi kuratierte Einzelausstellung in der Kunsthalle Zürich. Im Jahr darauf vertrat er die Schweiz an der Biennale von São Paulo. Ein zentraler Aspekt in Anülls Schaffen ist die Frage nach dem Wert einer Sache. «Wie kann man den Himmel oder die Wärme der Erde kaufen?», lautet die Frage auf einem Bild von 1989. Besonders interessiert ihn das Kunstwerk als Produkt oder als Ware: Ist ein Original nicht schon eine Kopie, ist ein Kunstwerk gar ein «Muster ohne Wert», kann ein Kunstwerk überhaupt mit einem «copy right» geschützt werden? Anüll gelingt es, solche und andere Fragen ohne mahnenden oder erhobenen Zeigefinger zu stellen. Seine Werke haben Poesie und Witz. In den 1970er Jahren trat Anüll mit eigenen, kleinen Künstlerbüchern an die Öffentlichkeit, und heute ist sein reproduktionstechnisches Werk zu beträchtlichem Umfang angewachsen. Das publizistische Element, das mit Druckgraphik und Multiples zwangsläufig verbunden ist, war und ist ihm sehr wichtig. In der vorliegenden Publikation werden erstmals sämtliche Editionen des Künstlers erfasst und abgebildet. Dabei wird deutlich, dass sie zwischen den Gemälden und Zeichnungen einerseits und den Objekten und Installationen andererseits eine Schlüsselstellung einnehmen.» 1100 gr.
