Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 1814, First Edition, Fair to Good Only/no dj, 12mo., 215pp., full leather hardcover rubbed & worn at extremities, paper label on backstrip, top 1/2" backstrip chipped, front exterior hinge cracked, covers still barely attached, light foxing throughout, written in Hull's own words this relates his defence against his 3 court-martial charges of treason, cowardice and neglect of duty during the War of 1812; acquitted of the first, but convicted of the other two, his execution was stayed by President Madison.
