Greenish-gray paper covers lightly soiled; toning at cover edges and most prevalent along spine which was past owner's handwritten ink title. Text block edges mildly toned; ink ownership inscription at top of title page with her ink underlining an…d margin marks amongst text; obtrusive toning to pages 42-43 from laid-in newspaper clipping; foxing to unpaged b/w plate and to its opposing pages 4-5. Fairly neatly separated at gutter evidenced by remnant stub and now laid-in between pages 80-81 is a plat map of circa 1729 German Town as reconstructed and drawn by Woodford B. Hackley. Binding is firm. With Foreword by editor Charles Herbert Huffman and text and text contributions by W.B. Hackley [Woodford B. Hackley] and B.C. Holtzclaw [Benjamin Clark Holtzclaw].
