Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Stated First Edition. Rare book, only one other for sale on the Internet. You can see the covers in the last three photos. The reason for the only Good rating is the color losses. The black lettering on the spine is nicely bright. There is the usual crinkling at the spine ends, also a little crease above the front bottom corner. Parts of the cover edges have some of the same color fading. The page edges are very clean. The binding of the book is very solid. The pages are nicely tight throughout, as are the covers. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through I didn't find any significant soiling, two consecutive pages have a speck-sized tan spot off their top edge, far from the print. There aren't any placeholder creases. Some of the later pages have a very mild crease just above their bottom corners. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It has held up pretty well for a children's book. There's some loss at the spine ends. There is a horizontal crease below the rear top edge, some vertical scuffing along the rear edge of the spine. There's some toning on the spine. There's a thin tear off the rear top edge. The flaps are in very good shape, no tears. The front flap has a thin, light wrinkle. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. I have always had it in a protective cover. Sheila Greenwald (illustrator).
