Condition: Very good. - Octavo, softcover bound in pictorial black-and-white wraps. The wraps are bumped and foxed & lightly stained around the edges. The head & tail of the spine are lightly chipped. 117 & [6] pages plus ads. Black-and-white illustrations. The top edge is foxed, else the contents are very good. This issue on theatre and social action comprises contemporary and historical sections. Among the contents are articles on the Welfare State Theatre, new theatre in China, Het Werkteater, El Teatro de la Esperanza, the French People's Theatre and Greek Resistance Theatre in World War II. There is also an article by Umberto Eco, "Semiotics of Theatrical Performance".
