Condition: Good. 1st edition. Cloth, dj, G/G. 188pp, b/w frontis, 3 b/w plates, dustjacket yellowed & worn with a little chipping along the edges, cloth grubby, internally a little foxed. The letters of a Quaker spinster who between the World Wars spent her life working in Germany to help with the post First World War rehabilitation programme. She was one of the first Quakers to enter Germany for over 20 years. 275 grams.

Book is in clean, light blue, cloth-covered boards, with bright gilt lettering to the spine which is lightly bumped to the head, and sharp corners. Internally, no writing or stamps, cream pages, soiled and lightly foxed to the text-block edges. The soiled dustjacket is creased to the edges, with small chips - supplied in a new removable archival sleeve. Carefully packaged and despatched within 48 hours from our wee bookshop in Scotland.
