Afrikaans reworking by G. W. Eybers and Anna M. Malan. Crown 8vo; original tan cloth, with black lettering to spine and upper cover; pp. vi + 441; maps, incl. folding. Extremities chafed, with archival tape reinforcing to joints, hinges, and head and tail of backstrip; heavily annotated; endpapers scuffed; earlier owner's name to front free endpaper; some foxing. Fair condition. This book provides a window on the fairly selective teaching of history in South Africa at the time.
