Black lettering to spine and design to top board. 93pp. Top edges a little dusty, rest untrimmed but clean. Small red stain to lower page corners. DJ is unclipped and also has red stains, otherwise fair/good. Size: 24mo - over 5 - 5¾" tall. Signed by Author(s). Book.

A collection consisting of two books, both entitled "Fischerisms", one signed by Howard Fabing and the other signed by Martin H. Fischer, both rare thus. 1) The 1930 volume is the true first edition. Hardcover, floral cloth-covered boards, printed label pasted… to front board, 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches, 29 pp., b/w frontispiece caricature. Inscribed and signed on the title page by Howard Fabing. Fine. 2) The 1961 volume is a revised and enlarged, first thus, limited/numbered edition, hardcover with dustcover, 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches, 99 pp., b/w frontispiece caricature (same as in the 1930 volume). This edition was limited to 300 copies, and this copy is number 18. SIGNED by Martin H. Fischer on the front pastedown, dated 1961. Book and dustcover very near fine. Although this first thus edition is substantially expanded, the first and last aphorisms are the same as in the 1930 edition. (K062). Signed by Author(s).
