How 2 Activity Pack: Make a Bug Your Friend and Other Activities Hat Trick Publishing, 1999 ISBN: 1-902973-03-8 (or series variant) Condition: As New / Near Mint Title: How 2: Make a Bug Your Friend and Other Activities - Complete Activity Pack with Project Cards (Shrink-Wrapped Interior…) Author/Editor: Based on the popular ITV children's TV series How 2 (presented by Fred Dinenage, Carol Vorderman, and others). Compiled and produced by Hat Trick Publishing in association with Scottish Television and Premiere Television. Illustrators: Maureen Galvani, Barry Green, and Mike Taylor - vibrant, humorous full-color cartoons and step-by-step diagrams throughout. Publisher: Hat Trick Publishing plc, 1 St Johns Street, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 1EB, UK (1999 copyright). Format: Activity Pack - 16-page full-color paperback book + set of perforated/press-out project cards, housed in original illustrated folding folder/sleeve. Pages: 16 pp. book + multiple project cards (rowing boat models, jet engines, colour spinner, badge stencils, dominoes, etc.). Original RRP: £3.99 Rare late-1990s children's educational activity pack from the beloved How 2 TV series. This pack encourages hands-on learning across Technology, Craft, History, Science, Geography, Food, and Magic with fun, fact-filled projects and experiments. The interior book is still shrink-wrapped and appears untouched. All project cards are present and pristine inside the sealed section. The outer paper folder/cover shows only very minor signs of age (light shelf-wear, faint rubbing at edges consistent with 25+ years of storage), but is otherwise perfect with bright, vivid colors and no tears, creases, or markings. The pink patterned interior pockets and all press-out elements (including the colour spinner card) remain factory-fresh. Key Features & Contents: Book Sections: "How to Make a Bug Your Friend," "Make Paper Shoes," "Make a Thunderstorm Indoors," plus dozens of other activities (e.g., rowing boat propulsion, colour experiments, geyser model, spiderweb cake, coin tricks, desert survival, etc.). Project Cards: Press-out models including two rowing boats, jet engines, badge stencils, dominoes for magic trick, colour spinner with experiments. Lavish color illustrations by Maureen Galvani, Barry Green, and Mike Taylor. Educational yet entertaining - perfect for ages 7-12, homeschooling, or nostalgia collectors. Condition Details: Overall: As New / Fine. Interior: Shrink-wrapped and pristine - never opened or used. Exterior Folder: Very light signs of age (minor edge rubbing, faint storage marks on the paper surfaces). No writing, stickers, or damage. All flaps, pockets, and fasteners intact. Cards: Factory-sealed inside; complete set presumed from visible contents through wrap. This is a complete, high-grade example of a scarce tie-in product. Ideal for How 2 collectors, 1990s children's TV memorabilia enthusiasts, or parents/grandparents seeking vintage hands-on learning materials. Hard to find in this preserved state. Maureen Galvani, Barry Green, Mike Taylor (illustrator).

Seller: Dan Wyman Books, LLC, Brooklyn, NY, U.S.A.Dan Wyman Books, LLC
Contact seller5-star sellerHardback. 1st edition. Original printed Publisher's linen, 8vo, (5) , 283 pages. With 20 colored maps of countries and regions around the world, including one world map displaying distances from Berlin. In German. Title translates as, "Philo-Atlas: Guide for Jewish Emigration." The Philo Atlas is a remarkable record of its time.… Issued barely two weeks prior to the outbreak of Kristallnacht (9/10 November, 1938), it appears at first to be nothing but a tourist guide-book. Yet its contents reveal a far more urgent need: An alphabetical survey of countries world-wide with their respective rules for obtaining entry-visas. "These are no tourist formalities, for now survival depends on them. Which countries still accept migrants? How much money do they demand? For which occupations is there a need? Which diseases need one be prepared for? Where to find local organizations who can assist immigrants?" The Jewish-owned Philo Verlag was forcibly closed a month following the publication of this guide, by which time the Nazis decided they were no longer willing to permit Jews to leave Germany - even if they could find a country willing to take them in, which, after the Evian Conference of earlier that summer, was even more unlikely. The Jews who remained in Germany were now trapped. Two copies sold at auction in 2018 for $1125 and $1375 each, with buyers' premiums. Some wear to boards; backstrip worn, internal hinges starting, Good Condition overall. An important document of the time. (B) (KH-8-74A).
