August Schricker war als Geistlicher in Bayern und hernach als Redakteur der Schwäbischen Volkszeitung" tätig, gründete die Sonntagsblätter der deutschen Partei" und gab die illustrierte Wochenschrift Kriegszeitung" heraus; zudem war Schricker Senatssekretär der Universität Straßburg.
