Top edges gilt, other edges uncut; green and gold marbled end papers. Richly illustrated with hand-coloured frontispiece plates in each volume and, throughout the set, a further 75 b/w plates with captioned tissue-guards. In fine condition with minimal rubbing to extremities. Contents clean and tight, unmarked, no inscriptions.
