Depicts the Native breeds of the British Isles and Iceland, details care and horsemanship with beautiful and detailed images. Unclipped original dust wrapper is sunned and soiled with a chip at head of spine that wraps around to both gutters and a chip out of the rear upper tip at flap fold. Tiny chips at tips, cover panel grubby but now in new mylar and displays ok. Author was editor of 'Pony'. Part I deals with Ponies and their Management; types and breeds, the skeleton and the main points, the feet, mouth, grooming, etc. Part II covers Riding and Control; the bridle and bit, the saddle, how to mount, the seat, walking, trotting, cantering, galloping, jumping, etc.
