Hardcover. Condition: New. No Jacket. Austin S. Hogan & Daniel Philip Côté (illustrator). 1st Edition, International Edition. Austin S. Hogan was the first Curator of "The American Museum of Fly Fishing", founded in Manchester, Vermont in 1968. His late son and author of this book, Austin W. Hogan, was a noted meteorologist and fly tyer, with many notable stations, including Mt. Washington and two lengthy expeditions to Antartica. . . this gave him plenty of time to write about the Parker guns he loved, and to practice his love of fly tying, for which he was world renown. Austin W. Hogan, author, was also a long-time contributor to "The Double Gun Journal", and co-founder (along with Art Wheaton) of "The Parker Gun Association" magazine entitled, "Parker Pages". The author's last wish, that I was privileged and most honored to grant was to design, edit, and publish a book about his father, Austin S., and his contributions to the flyfishing community. This beautiful tome of 512 profusely illustrated pages was produced of the finest materials available, and in a limited edition of only 1127 copies. of which only 127 could be bookplate-signed & numbered before the author lost the strength to sign any more. There are still a reduced number of these extremely limited edition copies now remaining for sale at $ 375. International Edition. Signed by Author(s).
