This Nazi propaganda photobook documents Hitler's triumphant trip through Bohemia, Moravia and Memelland (in far East Prussia), the recent additions to his Greater German Reich. The 72 photographs featured in this book are from Heinrich Hoffmann, Hitler's personal photographer, and depict, among many other views, the Fuehrer being greeted by ethnic Germans in Prague; a meeting with Himmler, Heydrich and Wehrmacht Generals at Prague's Hradcany Castle; Hitler in conversation with Joachim von Ribbentrop (his Foreign minister who wrote the foreword of this book) and Czech President Dr. Emil Hacha; his review of Kriegsmarine ships in Memel, and his triumphant return to Berlin after his latest territorial conquests. The photographs are reproduced in stunning photogravure. Minor and sporadic rubbing along edges of wrappers. Text in German. Wrappers in good+ to very good, interior in very good condition.

Profusely illustrated with sepia-toned photographs throughout and one double page drawn "picture story" covering a typical morning for a young woman. Depictions of young women's deployment at East and West frontline and various scenarios of duty in society, inlcuding one instance of meeting with Führer Adolf Hitler. Exhibition was curated with intention to familiarize the Berlin public with the "Reichsarbeitsdienst" for young women. First edition, first print of this photo-book documenting the 29 days between Germany's annexation of Austria on March 12, 1938, and the April 10 referendum crowning Hitler's achievement. The referendum question was: Do you agree with the reunification of Austria with the German Reich that was enacted on 13 March 1938 and do you vote for the list of our leader Adolf Hitler? The result was reported as 99.73% in favor, with a 99.71% turnout. The 73 striking b/w photographic reproductions depict Hitler during several speeches given throughout Germany and Austria, and starting in Königsberg on March 26, in which he launched the referendum campaign. The Fuehrer is also seen addressing crowds in Leipzig, Berlin, Hamburg, Köln, Frankfurt am Main, Stuttgart, München, Graz, Klagenfurt, Innsbruck, Salzburg, and Linz. His last address on the matter was held on April 9, at the Nordwestbahnhof, in Vienna. The photographs were taken by Heinrich Hoffmann, Hitler's personal photographer, and they show the Fuhrer being greeted by and talking to large and enthusiastic crowds. Half cloth portfolio with paper coverd boards containing 72 plates in collotype and lithographic tone printing. Rubbing to boards and extremities of portfolio. Some wear to spine ends, with some splitting along front joint which has been repaired internally. Some soil to boards. 10.5 x 8 cm triangular piece broken off from bottom inside card flap with some chipping along bottom of flap on verso. Some flaking to paper pasted on inside of cloth of portfolio. Eight page foreword and directory is printed on a single sheet, folded twice. Sheet has split along vertical fold, but is still holding along horizontal fold. Some age toning to plates, and occasional smudge marks and light soil. 5 cm closed tear to plate 7, with light crease across plate. Some corner creases to a few other plates. Overall, still a nice complete set of rare botanical plates from Heinrich Gross, who was a professor at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Stuttgart.
