First Edition
Octavo, 71 pp., with drawings by John Andrews, boards. First edition. Short humorous pieces. 23 September 1944 gift inscription on front free endpaper. A very good copy in good pictorial dust jacket with chipping at edges and several closed tears with internal tape mends. (#134247).

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. ANDREWS, John (illustrator). Boards are faded and worn. Some foxing and staining on endpapers, edges and some pages. Small ink marks on front pastedown. Binding slightly unhinged. Small tear on back free endpaper. Some pages slightly creased. Else book is in good condition. Dustwrapper is grubby and torn in multiple places around top and bottom edges, else is in good condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously but they usually present better than they sound.
