A dirt poor orphan, from the wrong side of the tracks, discovers a talent for baseball pitching which allows him to achieve is dream and goal of becoming a structural engineer. A clean presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.

In one of the baseball stories, a high school player learns how to deal with bean balls and in the other, a high school captain decides he must sacrifice some games this so that next year's team is able to gain experience.
