A short history - focusing on the philatelic aspects of the early days of Wells Fargo from its birth in the early 1850's, as seen through their original business - which was carrying mail. This includes early stampless covers, handstamps used, Wells Fargo stations on the west coast and abroad, etc. and their relationship to philately. Written by a collector of Wells Fargo postal covers, and accompanied by b/w illustrations of a variety of covers. Measures 7" x 10" with 17 pages. White covers are a bit soiled due to age, but otherwise there are no marks of any kind. SALE PRICE.
