Single Issue Magazine. Condition: Fair. Benito, Eduardo Garcia (cover); Libiszewski, Herbert Berthold (Libis); Beaton, Cecil; Altman (illustrator). First Edition. Gorgeous iconic Benito cover art depicts Aphrodite rising from the sea. The 76 pages include provide a broad sampling of content on beauty, fashion, society, and variety, plus the usual profusion of wonderful ads. Pages 36-37 contain a wonderful color illustration by Libis of four black housemaids happily hanging a yard full of fashionable laundry to dry in the sunny breeze. Above-average wear. Front cover is missing numerous peripheral chips and is loose but present. Back cover almost loose. Bottom corner of pages 19/20 (6" x 4") removed. A marvelous, albeit well-travelled, vintage issue.

Photograph
Three vintage studio still photographs from the 1968 film. One photograph with a provenance stamp on the verso on a label obscuring an older provenance stamp. Loosely based on the 1924 short story "The Most Dangerous Game," by Richard Connell, wherein wealthy beatnik Virginia offers a former wrestler (played by boxer Jake LaMotta), a washed up actor, and a drug dealer $100,000 if they can survive being hunted down in the streets of Manhattan. Shot on location in New York City. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus.
