Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. A Preface written by the author indicates that it was originally published in July 1866 in Buffalo, NY. This edition is later (1943). Illustrated with checker boards throughout to physically show checker moves. Measures 5.5" x 7.5" with 88 + pages. Great cover drawing with an intact spine. Printed on newsprint which can be a bit fragile and brittle and subject to browning. Nonetheless, in really good condition.
