    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. The book is bound in dark brown cloth with title in gilt on the spine. Corners are lightly bumped. Chips on the corners of the spine caps and joints. She-Wolf image blind-stamped on the front cover is barely visible. The figures of Romulus and remus are blind-stamped on the back cover. A light damp stain is visible on the fore-edges of the first 50 pages. There are some lines marking paragraphs in pencil on the first 200 pages of the book. Name of previous owner in pencil on the front paste-down. Writings in pencil on verso of frontis. Otherwise, pages are age-toned, clean and unmarked. The binding is tight. Profusely illustrated with wood-cuts in black and white. 768 pages.
