Add to basketCondition: Good. [4 imprints] Small volume of children's books including an 1805 Darton edition of Franklin and an apparently unrecorded Darlington edition of William Law's Call to a Devout Life. Bound in half black roan over marble paper covered boards; rubbed to edges; nineteenth century newspaper clipping about a gift of a Fr…anklin engraving to Manchester libraries on first pastedown. The Franklin imprint is nicely illustrated with vignettes; some foxing spots, lacking the first leaf which is included in the pagination and has the frontispiece. The 1816 Hanley edition of Hendley's Memorial for Chilren has an ownership inscription, 'Isabella Marshall's Book 1828', on the title page followed by the Darlington edition of William Law, 'Printed at the Office of W H Blackburn, High-Row', pp 16, and dated 1815 - seemingly unrecorded. The final imprint has been bound up without its title page. A pretty little volume. Good Please contact Christian White Rare Books Ltd for more information or images of this item.
