Soft Cover. Condition: Good. Scarce. Blue card covers with blue lettering to front. Covers are generally in good order, just rather grubby and unevenly faded. Slight bumping to corners, some subsequent curling. Stapled spine. Textblock is in good condition, clean and tight. 28 pp. Illustrated throughout. 3 pullouts to the rear. Previous owner's mark to FFEP. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 244g. Unless specifically mentioned, all our books are photographed so you can see what you are buying. Utilitarian flexible binding in publisher's original blue cloth covers, silver title lettering and small de Havilland silhouette to the front cover, silver title lettering to the spine. 4to 11½'' x 9¼''. The de Havilland Goblin, originally designated as the Halford H-1, is an early turbojet engine designed by Frank Halford and built by de Havilland. The Goblin was the second British jet engine to fly, after the Power Jets W.1, and the first to pass a type test and receive a type certificate issued for an aircraft propulsion turbine. Contents and monochrome illustrations [some fold-out] and photographs appear at the beginning of each chapter. The last three pages have uneven rippling to the paper, otherwise in Very Good clean condition. Scarce. Member of the P.B.F.A. AEROPLANES.
