Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. A well-worn, well-read seventh printing of this scarce mid-century judo instruction manual, bound in the original pictorial red paper wrappers. Covers: Original illustrated wrappers present and firmly attached, front and back. Bold red ground with black silhouette illustration of a hip thr…ow to front cover. Moderate to heavy wear: several small circular foxing/staining spots to front cover, edge and corner wear throughout, with a chip and small closed tear at the head of the front hinge. Spine: Notable wear — cracking and splitting along the spine paper with loss at the head and tail (headcap and tailcap worn through in places, exposing the text block). Original price sticker/stamp "3/6 NET" and publisher's imprint remain legible. Text block: Complete and tightly sewn; pages are toned/tanned throughout, as expected of the wartime/postwar-era paper stock, with light foxing spots near the title page. A previous owner's library-style pencil/ink accession number ("M321.25") appears on the half-title. Interior: Clean and legible throughout, with original diagrams and figures (e.g., the "Vulnerable Points of the Human Body" illustration) intact and unmarked by later hands. Overall: A solid, complete reading/study copy showing honest shelf wear consistent with age and a specialist paperback of this vintage — priced accordingly.
