Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 4to. 12 1/2". xviii, [2], 201pp. Only text pages are paginated. With an Introductory Essay by James Hannay; and Descriptive Letterpress, by the Rev. J. Trusler, and E. F. Roberts. No date given, circa 1890. Boards are red cloth with half red leather on spine and corners. Five raised ba…nds on spine, decoratively stamped and edged in gilt, gilt lettering in the second section. Leather edges on board panels and corners are decoratively edged in gilt. All external page edges are gilt. Spine folds and upper and lower edges are rubbed, as are fore-edge corners. Inside front and back gutters are cracked but holding. Stains on upper edges of front paste down and FFEP. Several of the page numbers up to page 27 are circled in pencil. One instance of pencil erasures in the text margin of page 26. Text pages are age-toned. Several unpaginated pages toward the center of the book have small stains in the upper margins. Foxing is minimal to moderate and primarily around the engravings and the pages closest to the front and back. Text block is solid. Additional shipping costs may be necessary due to size and weight, depending on destination and in particular for international destinations.
