Estas memorias fueron publicadas en 1957, cuando hacía veinte años que «Putzi» había traicionado a Alemania para convertirse en asesor de Roosevelt en cuanto a la personalidad de Hitler. Debido a ello hay que saber leer entre líneas y discernir lo plausiblemente verídico de aquello que no es más que una reacción de despecho.
