It includes all the verses known to be extant of the celebrated Jack Fireblood, upon the remains of whose projected 'Flowers of Hemp' (the rightful authorship of which is here for the first time properly established) the book is based. Among other contributing authors are : Harrison Ainsworth, G.W.M. Reynolds, Bulwer-Lytton, Pierce Egan, Leman Rede, Bon Gaultier, John Labern, W.E. Henley, G.R. Sims, Doss Chidderdoss of 'The Pink 'Un' and the celebrated Anon. To all of which is added an anonymous but authentic 'Autobiography of a Thief' written in the late 1870s for the Rev. T. W.
