Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. A Poor to Fair 12mo hardcover (1900 per the title page; 1901 per the publisher's copyright). NO dust jacket (if issued). Ex-school library pursuant to purple markings at the top of the front paste-down. Soiling and smudges throughout, but the contents (x + 72 pp., including 34 illustrations after Gustave Dore) remain fully legible, complete, and securely bound. Light brown cloth with burgundy lettering and on the upper board. A crease in the lower board near the spine has caused a dramatic bowing/bulge in that board (and most of the pages), as well as a slanted spine. The covers are well rubbed in the extremities, have above average soiling, and have some faded staining from moisture exposure in the lower corners of both boards.
