Contact seller5-star sellerHardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Mystery, Magic and Medicine by Howard W Haggard, MD. This copy of a first edition published in 1933 by Doubleday, Doran and Company. The book is a sort of history of medicine beginning with a short section of Greek medicine and race thought history until the 18th century. There… is a large portion about the advances from the late 18th century until the modern (1933). The book is approximately 192 pages in a 5 x 7-inch format, with a leather cover. This is a "well read" copy. The edges of the book covers are worn at the bottom edge and corners, and the spine is cracked along the joint. The leather cover on the spine was reattached to the webbing using archive glue; however, this minimal repair stabilizes the spine but preserves the original binding of this book. Some of the pages seem to be damp-stained, but no discoloring from the moisture. Foxing long the edges of the pages is present. Condition Estimate Used/Fair: A book with more than average wear, and may have issues with binding, jacket or pages as described, above. International Customers: Due to extraordinarily high international shipping rates, it may be necessary to adjust your shipping costs up or down depending on the shipping address of the destination country. Please shop around and carefully consider the purchase price and the shipping costs before ordering. See our Shipping Terms for more information.
