Brown Cloth. Condition: Very Good. No Wrapper. 1st Edition. xvpp;352pp;32pp. A very good clean copy of this first edition (1885) in brown cloth. 8vo. Gilt embossed lettering to the front board and spine. There is some rubbing to the head and tail of the spiune and a bump to the front edge of the front board, with three 0.5 cm associated splits. Light fading to the spine and scattered light soil marks to the boards. There is a light scrath mark to the front board and there are occasional light foxspots to the upper fore edges. Previous owners naive hand has written the date to the reverse of the fornt end paper and the name has been rubbed out. Internally very clean and tight. A very good copy.…
