"The present volume is the English version of a former work of mine published in Hungarian under the same title. I have omitted certain polemic parts of the original, modified, and completed the rest mainly in view of the reform of the system of economic control and management introduced in Hungary by January 1st, 1968. The title of the work suggests an exposition of the fundamental problems of socialist civil law on an international scale, i.e., not restricted to Hungary. I believe this to be true in the sense that, notwithstanding certain national particularities and divergences between schools of thought, there exists a differeniated yet fundamentally uniform socialist type of law which summarizes the main principles of the various socialist legal systems and, accordingly, there exists also a uniform socialist jurisprudence.".
