Ainsi l artiste exploite en premier lieu la photographie dans sa notion d outil, d archives. Cette photographie brute de l oeuvre passée devient ensuite la source d une nouvelle oeuvre peinte, photographiée elle aussi et reproduite en grand format. Il s agit d un travail sur la reproduction de la reproduction qui à chaque fois grandit en dimensions pour finir sur un tirage argentique d environ 200 x 150 cm qui lui-même est encore retravaillé par la matière et la couleur. Par un processus d auto inspiration, l artiste recrée une oeuvre à partir de son oeuvre et ce, en plusieurs générations. Le principe de départ est l image, la photo qui circule dans les magazines, l artiste s en empare. La photo est là mais ne peut pas en rester là. Ce travail interroge ce qu est la reproduction d une oeuvre, la reproduction photographique d une oeuvre, thème qui passionne l artiste aujourd hui. À l heure de notre société de l information, l oeuvre reproduite (dans la presse, dans les livres, sur Internet) est le vecteur principal d accès aux oeuvres et pourtant il manque souvent le message essentiel de l artiste et l on perd invariablement dans le processus ce qui fait la nature de la peinture, c est-à-dire ses teintes et sa profondeur. Ces questionnements, sur le passage d un médium à un autre, résonnent tout en couleurs dans l exposition, comme le cri du peintre, qui depuis son atelier, interpelle celui qui veut bien l entendre.
